When PROVIDE first opened almost three years ago, we barely had enough stock to fill our tiny shop. For the first few months it felt like a bit of a scramble to get hold of enough stuff to make the space interesting, but as we found our feet and got to know you all, we brought in more and more beautiful and inspiring products to share with an ever-expanding customer base.
This awkwardly-shaped little unit soon felt like home, as many of you who have whiled away the hours on our wheelie-crate-seats will agree. However, over the last few months it's been feeling like PROVIDE has got to a point where it's outgrown this current location. Turning down great magazines and holding back from creating new products has become a frustrating, and almost daily occurrence.

Because of this, and because of our hunger to expand and explore what PROVIDE is or could be, I decided to end our lease one year early, which means we will be closing the Custard Factory shop on Saturday, 22 August at 6pm. We are currently in the process of looking for a larger, more central location in Birmingham and although it would be nice to move straight from one shop to the next, it's currently looking like there may be a short period when PROVIDE will be homeless. This is a scary and exciting prospect which will allow us to really explore what the future of the brand could look like, and we want you to stay in touch during this time so that you can be the first to know when we've found a new home. In the mean time, we are having a moving sale in store and online between now and August 22nd, so make sure you don't miss out on a rare chance to grab some heavily discounted PROVIDE gear, books and magazines. More product will be added to the sale over the coming weeks, so do keep checking back for further reductions, exclusive unreleased samples and old stock from way back when we first opened.
