PROVIDE Cinema presents: Ai Weiwei - Never Sorry.
7pm, Tuesday 12 November 2013
Spotlight, Digbeth.
£5
It's been a while since our last Cinema event back in March, which we did in partnership with Flatpack Festival. However, we think our latest selection is worth the wait. Ai Weiwei is a globally renowned Chinese artist who has, to say the least, tested the patience of his government. In her first feature length documentary, Alison Klayman gives us a detailed, funny and deeply troubling look at contemporary China, by focusing on Ai Weiwei and the impact his art is having on Chinese people and society at large.
We've got a new venue, Spotlight, just a two minute walk from our shop and the theatre where previous PROVIDE Cinema events have been held. Holding the screening in a nightclub will create a far more sociable atmosphere, and with chesterfield sofas and a fully stocked bar we are looking forward to a totally new way of experiencing film in Digbeth. Seating is limited, so arrive early if you want a sofa spot!
Get your ticket online here, or drop into the shop to buy in person. Advance booking is recommended, but there will probably be a few tickets left on the door if you want to chance it. Whether you buy online, in person in advance or on the door, all tickets are just £5.
