The Company is a relatively new initiative from leading London charity The Winch. It works with groups of young people who are in the process of starting their own businesses, guiding them through each stage and providing mentors and opportunities to pitch for investment. I took part in The Company's pilot scheme back in 2011, and it's fair to say that PROVIDE would probably not exist today without the initial support I received from The Winch.

Last week I went down to London to meet the current associates at The Company, and to talk to them about my experience of setting up a business. It's always interesting learning about what makes other people tick and their reasons for wanting to start a company, and I'm looking forward to seeing how each of them progresses over the coming months.
